The City is seeking input from the community regarding their experiences with equity in inclusion.

The survey asks residents to rate their community on a number of factors, including:

  • Making all residents feel welcome
  • Helping new residents feel connected
  • Valuing residents from different backgrounds
  • Treating all residents fairly
  • Providing equal employment opportunities to residents of all backgrounds
  • Providing equal access to housing for residents of all backgrounds
  • Welcoming residents from all backgrounds to participate in community decision-making

Additionally, several questions ask residents to think of specific identities and how they are treated in the city. These identities include:

  • People with disabilities
  • People who identify as transgender
  • Men
  • Women
  • People who are Arabic or Middle Eastern
  • People who are Asian, Asian Indian or Pacific Islander
  • People who are Black or African American
  • People who are Hispanic
  • People who are American Indian or Alaskan Native
  • People who are White
  • People whose first language is not English
  • People who are not U.S. citizens
  • People who are older
  • People who are younger
  • People who are of lower income

The City is experimenting with Polco as a new survey tool. Polco is founded and backed by military veterans.
